With our proven track record in carrying out the tunnelling and other underground works, MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line, under MMC Gamuda KVMRT (T) Sdn Bhd again has won the single-largest Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) package for the underground works in the upcoming MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line.

We are now seeking for dynamic and results-oriented individuals to apply for the following positions to be based at our underground works site offices.


ASSISTANT SHIFT BOSS (10 positions)

  • Candidate must possess at least Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or relevant certificate or qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in tunnelling works preferably in Karstic Limestone or Alluvium geological profile.
  • Possess valid Malaysian Plant & Equipment operator certificates – all terrain forklift, wheel loader, excavator, mobile crane, etc.
  • Possess knowledge in handling large-scale tunnelling works.
  • Able to lead a team of operation and technical support staff and able to coordinate all aspects of the tunnel construction works to ensure meeting the requirements of the programme, budget, contractual standards, safety standards and government regulations.
  • To ensure the proper operating condition of the TBM and the availability of adequate construction materials, equipment and tools in the tunnel.

CUTTER WORKSHOP MECHANIC (5 positions)

  • Candidate must possess relevant certificate/qualification or experience preferably in tunnelling works.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in construction work.
  • Experience in carrying out repair and maintenance of TBM cutter disc.
  • Able to use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, seams or fabricated metal products.
  • Shall be taking full charge in the operation of the cutter workshop.
  • Shall be medically fit for compressed air work at any time fit as the job demands.
  • Must have experience to perform inspection on the cutter head and tools fitted and advise the necessary follow up repairs and rectification to be done.
  • Able to perform out fitting work including welding and cutting work.
  • Familiar with welding operations and safety procedures.

FITTER (10 positions)

  • Candidate must possess relevant certificate/qualification or experience preferably in construction or tunnelling works.
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Able to handle general fitting work.
  • Able to interpret simple engineering drawing and perform general welding work.

MECHANIC / SENIOR MECHANIC (30 positions)

  • Candidate must possess relevant certificate/qualification or experience preferably in tunnelling works.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in construction or tunnelling works.
  • Familiar with Plant & TBM mechanical works.
  • Able to inspect equipment, troubleshoots and repair equipment where necessary.

PLANT FOREMAN (13 positions)

  • Candidate must possess relevant certificate/qualification or experience preferably in plant operation.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience preferably in tunnelling works.

PLANT OPERATOR (20 positions)

  • Candidate must possess experience preferably in batching plant, or plant siemen plant batcher.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience preferably in tunnelling works.

ELECTRICIAN (30 positions)

  • Candidate must hold a competency certificate PW4 and A1 chargeman or other relevant certificate in electrical from any accredited training facility.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in construction / tunnelling work.
  • Familiar with electrical installation works.
  • Able to do troubleshooting and rectification of electrical problems as they arise.
  • Should be able to do inspection and maintenance of all electrical equipment and system.
  • Assist Electrician to ensure smooth running and operation of TBM, tunnel electrical equipment and other supporting plants on surface.

WELDER / FITTER (30 positions)

  • Candidate must possess 6G welder competency and at least 5 years working experience as fitter and welding works, preferably in construction or tunnelling works.
  • Familiar with welding operations and safety procedures.

ERT SUPERVISOR (7 positions)

  • Relevant certificate, qualification or experience in handling emergency cases.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience preferably in tunnelling works concerning ER operations.

SENIOR ENGINEER – IQC (3 positions)

  • Candidate must possess at least Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years or more experience in similar construction field (heavy civil works) or previous role as ARE on civil works.
  • Previous experience as Site Engineer, working as ARE/RE with Consultants, or as QA/QC Engineer will be an added advantage.

INSPECTOR OF WORK – IQC (2 positions)

  • Candidate must possess at least SPM/Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years or more experience in similar construction field (heavy civil works) or previous role as ARE on civil works.
  • Previous experience as Site Engineer, working as ARE/RE with Consultants or as QA/QC Engineer will be an added advantage.

SENIOR MATERIAL ENGINEER (6 positions)

  • Candidate must possess at least Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years or more experience in similar construction field (heavy civil works) or previous role as ARE on civil works.
  • Previous experience as Site Engineer, working as ARE/RE with Consultants, or as QA/QC Engineer an added advantage.
  • Familiar or experience in civil testing laboratory.
  • Possess knowledge in soil, concrete and aggregate testing will be an added advantage.

SENIOR / CONTRACTS EXECUTIVE (1 position)

  • Candidate must possess at least Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent.
  • For Senior Executive – minimum 7 years & for Executive minimum 3 years of working experience in
  • Quantity Surveying / Contract Administration /Project Management.
  • Possess contract administration knowledge and ability to draft contractual letters.

ENVIRONMENT CONTROL SYSTEM (ECS) ENGINEER (1 position)

  • Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical/Electrical.
  • Minimum 3-8 years working experience as Design Consultant or Air-conditioning contractor. Not supplier.
  • Responsible to assist in mechanical design especially Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV), Heat Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Environmental Control System (ECS), Smoke Control, Computerised Fluid Dynamic (CFD), Duct, Chiller.

BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (BMS) ENGINEER (1 position)

  • Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical/Electrical.
  • Minimum 3-8 years working experience in Building Management System as Design Consultant or Control System contractor. Not supplier.
  • Responsible to assist in Scada, Building Automation System (BAS), Building Management System (BMS), Communication and Control, Security, Public Address System (PA) and CCTV.

M&E PROGRAMMER (1 position)

  • Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical/Electrical.
  • Minimum 3-8 years working experience in programming / M&E construction industries.
  • Familiar with P6 Version 8.2, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.

LEAD CIVIL ENGINEER (1 position)

  • Candidate must possess Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering/Construction Management.
  • Minimum 10 years working experience with Design Consultant and Contractor. Experience working with Design & Build Contractor.
  • Experience in services relocation for major toll highway

FIELD COORDINATION ENGINEER (1 position)

  • Candidate must possess Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years working experience in structural design, basement, underground or foundation design and construction.
  • Excellent in MX / AutoCAD Civil 3D & other alignment design software.

SENIOR / IT EXECUTIVE (1 position)

  • Candidate must possess Diploma/Professional Certificate in IT/Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Executives specializing in IT/Computer – Job role in Hardware/network/Operation support or equivalent.
  • Familiar with VMWare/Cisco Switch configuration/Juniper/ASA firewall/Synology/Microsoft Exchange/Microsoft Active Directory/Symantec Backup Exec/Ironport/ Hyper-V.
  • Experience in IT and network support for construction industry will be an added advantage.
  • Willing to travel from site to site.

BIM COORDINATOR – STRUCTURE (1 position)

  • Candidate must possess Degree in Civil/Structure Engineering, Architecture or Building or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in creating and working with Revit 3D models in project delivery workflow, production and documentation.
  • Advanced level hands-on knowledge of Revit.
  • Able to produce renders and visuals for client presentations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Revit Family Editor and Revit Content Creation.
  • Possess Revit / BIM Training Certification and working knowledge of Navisworks Manage and 3DS Max will be an added advantage.

MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER – COMMERCIAL (2 positions)

  • Candidate must possess Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum 7-10 years working experience in Quantity Surveying and exposure in Mega Projects.
  • Good negotiation skills, people management and cost analysis.

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR (2 positions)

  • Candidate must possess Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum 4 years working experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience in sub-contract tender exercise.

STOREKEEPER (3 positions)

  • Candidate must possess relevant certificate/qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in manufacturing/automotive.
  • Able to coordinate and manage conflicting priorities.

LOCOMOTIVE DRIVER (1 position)

  • Candidate must possess certification related to locomotive operation and maintenance.
  • Minimum 1-3 years working experience in locomotive operation and maintenance.
  • Possess Automotive/Mechanical background will be an added advantage.

ADMINISTRATION EXECUTIVE (1 position)

  • Candidate must possess Degree/Diploma in any discipline or relevant qualification.
  • Minimum 4 years working experience in administration preferable in handling company vehicle fleet, air-Ticketing, office renovation works.
  • Experience in handling company event will be an added advantage.
